Andes Urubamba brings the viewer on a fertile valley around Cusco that was the crop producer for the capital, its famous Inca terraces being visible even today. We follow the valley and visit Pisac, maybe one of the most interesting and well preserved Inca cities, with its many temples and buildings, going further down in the village to mingle with the locals in the Sunday market of the new colonial village. The diversity of colors of the costumes and the produce sold in the market, the main one being coca leaves, cannot cease to enchant the visitor. We continue the visit to Ollantaytambo, where the steep terraces represented a serious obstacle in front of the advancing Spanish army pursuing the last Inca king when he fled Cusco and we end the visit in Chincero, in another picturesque market.
